Taxi School

The taxicab training program is designed to teach new drivers; professional customer service, Business management, geography/map reading, human rights, passengers with disabilities, bylaw and regulations, safety-stress management-road rage, vehicle standards, maintenance and inspections. The fifth day is test day! did I mention it cost me when all is said and done near one thousand dollars to learn how to drive a taxicab... (check this link for further details)

The class is limited to fifteen students and as I said the waiting list is long. There is fourteen hundred an eleven taxicabs in Calgary and one hundred wheel chair vans and three times that many drivers. Keep in mind Calgary has over a million residents. The Calgary taxi school program is based on a training program out of Toronto, the study guide is one hundred and sixty pages coupled with daily homework assignments and thirty hours in class training.

Live 24 hour web cam of downtown Canmore, perhaps you may see my red mini van taxi at the four way stop! I am sure that I pass through this intersection at least twenty times a shift
